Pak-EPA’s enforcement team, under the supervision of Assistant Director (A/F) Mr. Rashid Cheema conducted an operation in Swan Garden and PWD areas of Islamabad

Islamabad, September 19, 2024 –Pak-EPA’s enforcement team, under the supervision of Assistant Director (A/F) Mr. Rashid Cheema conducted an operation in Swan Garden and PWD areas of Islamabad. The enforcement team, in collaboration with the City Magistrate Administration, inspected Kamalia Khadar, Grace Fabrics, Shikar Puri Sweets, Park One Super Market, Pakeeza Sabzi, Javed Khan whole Sale, D Watson, Fresh Box and many others to ensure compliance with the Single Use Plastics (Prohibition) Regulations, 2023.

During the operation, the team confiscated 187 kg of single-use plastic items. Warnings and challans were issued to the violators of regulation. This initiative seeks to address environmental concerns by encouraging the adoption of eco-friendly alternatives, increasing public awareness about the impact of plastics, and supporting policies that foster sustainability.
