Pak-EPA Inspects Marble and Granite Units, Issues Notices for Breaking Environmental Rules
The Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency (Pak-EPA) Enforcement team has inspected marble and granite industrial units. During the inspections, the enforcement team observed dust emissions, improper waste management, and absence of pollution control measures. These practices not only contribute to environmental degradation but also pose risks to the health of nearby communities.
During the inspection the enforcement team has issued hearing notices to several marble and granite industries operating in the Sangjani area of Islamabad for violations of environmental laws. They also directed to appear before the Agency and present their compliance status.
