The 33rd National Biosafety Committee (NBC) Meeting, chaired by the Secretary, MoCC & EC, was convened in a hybrid mode to finalize the SOPs for cross-bred genetically modified (GM) variety. The committee held an in-depth discussion, reviewed all member inputs, and unanimously approved the revised SOPs.

These updated SOPs aim to streamline regulatory processes, strengthen biosafety measures, and support scientific innovation in agriculture. This meeting marks a pivotal step toward enhancing Pakistan’s biosafety framework and advancing sustainable biotechnology development.
