An inspection team of Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency (Pak-EPA), led by Assistant Director Mr. Muhammad Rashid Cheema, conducted an inspection drive against single-use plastics in key commercial areas of Islamabad, including G-9 Peshawar Morr Market, Safa Gold Mall (F-7 Markaz), and Rana Market (F-7/2). During the operation, over 300 kg of single-use plastic items were confiscated, and fines totaling Rs. 45,000 were imposed on seven shopkeepers for violations. Pak-EPA remains fully committed to eradicating single-use plastics from the capital and continues to enforce the ban through regular inspections and strict action.
