A hospital waste management inspection team visited two hospitals in the Rawat area

A hospital waste management inspection team visited two hospitals in the Rawat area—Wateem and Riphah—on May 20, 2025. The team inspected both solid and liquid infectious waste management practices. Doctors and nursing staff were briefed on proper segregation of infectious and non-infectious waste using colour-coded bins. The functioning of incinerators and scrubbers was also reviewed. The team closely monitored potential environmental violations to ensure compliance with health and environmental safety standards.
