Pak-EPA Enforcement Team Cracks Down on Single-Use Plastic in Islamabad.
Islamabad, January 22, 2026 - The Enforcement Team VI conducted a field operation against single-use plastic items at F-11 Markaz Islamabad.
During the inspection, the team visited local bakeries, wholesale shops, and cash-and-carry stores, Retailer Shops of polythene and single use Plastic item, confiscating approximately 50 kilograms of polythene bags and single-use plastic materials, issued 27 warning to the local consumers and Shop owners. This action is part of Pak-EPA's ongoing efforts to enforce the Single-Use Plastic (Prohibition) Regulations 2023 within the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) limits.
The Enforcement Team is actively visiting different zones of Islamabad to ensure compliance with the regulations and prevent the use of harmful single-use plastic items. This initiative aims to protect the environment and promote sustainable practices in the capital city.
