May 12, 2025, the Hospital Waste Management Inspection Team visited multiple healthcare facilities in G-8 Markaz, Islamabad, to review their medical waste handling, especially the segregation and incineration of infectious waste. The team observed existing practices inside hospitals and noted areas needing urgent improvement.

Hospital staff were briefed on the Pakistan EPA’s Hospital Waste Management Rules and were strictly instructed to ensure proper segregation and timely incineration of infectious waste. Non-compliance with these rules poses serious risks to public health and the environment.
