PAKISTAN ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY AND PAK MISSION SOCIETY HOST SUCCESSFUL CYCLING EVENT AND CLIMATE WALK AT QUAID I AZAM UNIVERSITY, ISLAMABAD
Islamabad, Pakistan 4th February 2025 - The Pakistan Mission Society (PMS) in collaboration with Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency (Pak-EPA), successfully organized a landmark cycling event and climate awareness walk today at Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU), Islamabad. The event brought together students from various schools, environmental activists, and cycling enthusiasts in a unified effort to promote environmental conservation and sustainable mobility solutions. The day's activities featured two main components: a competitive cycling rally and an awareness walk, both designed to highlight the importance of sustainable urban transportation and environmental stewardship. This event represents a significant step forward in Pak-EPA’s ongoing efforts to promote sustainable transportation alternatives and raise awareness about environmental conservation. The enthusiasm shown by the participating students and community members proves that there is a growing recognition of the need for eco-friendly lifestyle choices. The event achieved several key objectives: a. Raised awareness about environmental conservation among young people b. Demonstrated practical alternatives to carbon-intensive transportation c. Promoted healthy, active lifestyle choices through cycling d. Strengthened community engagement in environmental initiatives e.
