A One-day seminar on "Challenges, Opportunities and Trends in Biotechnology in Pakistan" held on 22nd March 2023 at Islamabad.

The seminar was graced by the presence of several esteemed guests, including the Special Advisor to the Prime Minister, Ms Rumina Khursheed Alam, and the Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Climate Change, Ms Naz Baloch. From the technical side, Engr Jawed Salim Qureshi from Four Brothers group, Dr Kauser Abdulla Malik, Distinguish National Professor of Pakistan, Dr Yusuf Zafar, Ex-Chairman PARC, and Dr Ghulam Ali, Chairman PARC, etc. were also present at the event.

The speakers at the seminar highlighted the potential of biotechnology to transform various sectors of the economy, including agriculture and environmental management. They also discussed the challenges faced by the biotechnology industry in Pakistan and the need for a supportive regulatory framework.
