Pak-EPA Enforcement Team along with Islamabad Administration team Cracked Down on Single-Use Plastic in Islamabad.

"Islamabad, October 17, 2024 - On the directions of the Director General Pak-EPA the Enforcement Team III of Pak-EPA conducted a field operation against single-use plastic items in Rural Zone ICT, PWD, Soan Garden Islamabad.
During the inspection, the team visited local bakeries (Fresco, Cakes and Bakes etc.) wholesale plastic bags shops (Khattak Traders, KD traders, Kashmir Plastic etc.), cash-and-carry stores (Save Mart, Madina, Punjab and Islamabad store) and Hotels, Restaurants & Dry Fruit merchants (Tandoori Nights, Bao Jee Murgh Pulao, Balochistan Dry Fruit, Gilgit Dry Fruit, New Quetta Dry Fruit) confiscating approximately 15 kilograms of Single Use polythene bags. The  Team  issued 8 warnings to the consumers and Shop owners. This action is part of Pak-EPA's ongoing efforts to enforce the Single-Use Plastic (Prohibition) Regulations 2023 within the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) limits
