Pak-EPA Conducts Inspection of Marble Factories in Sanjgani, Islamabad

The Enforcement Team of Pak-EPA, under the directives of the Director General, Pak-EPA, conducted an inspection of marble factories operating in the Sanjgani area of Islamabad on 29 November 2025. The inspection was led by Deputy Director Muhammad Asif Rana and Deputy Director Muhammad Ramzan. 

Strict compliance notices were issued to five (05) marble factories, directing them to implement the required mitigation measures without delay. Failure to comply will result in stringent action under the provisions of the Pakistan Environmental Protection Act (PEPA), 1997, including the possibility of permanent closure.
