A team of the Federal Environmental Protection Agency (Pak-EPA), under Deputy Director (Enforcement), took cognizance of a public complaint regarding the operation of Tyre-Burning Units within the jurisdiction of Taxila, Rawalpindi/Islamabad.

Following the complaint, the Enforcement Team conducted operation as a regulatory enforcement measure and Environmental Protection Orders (EPOs) were issued against three Tyre-Burning Units, by  suspending their operations physically on 17-09-2026.

The action was taken to address the environmental concerns raised by the public and to ensure compliance with environmental laws.
The complainant also appreciated the timely intervention and enforcement action taken by Pak-EPA in response to the complaint.
