Islamabad, January 26, 2026 - The Enforcement Team of Pak-EPA with the support of ICT Administration, conducted a field operation against single-use plastic items in Ghauri Town, Islamabad.
During the inspection, the team visited restaurants, bakeries, pharmacies, dry fruit shops, grocery shops and cafes in Ghauri Town and confiscated approximately 10 kilograms of single-use plastic items (Polythene bags, styrofoam packaging etc.). The team issued warnings to the shops and cafes. The team also distributed public notices on single use plastic (prohibition) regulations for display in their restaurants. This action is part of Pak-EPA's ongoing efforts to enforce the Single-Use Plastic (Prohibition) Regulations 2023 within the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) limits.
