Second Pak-BCH Portal Training Conducted at Pak-EPA:
Islamabad, 17th April, 2025 – The Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency (Pak-EPA) successfully conducted the second training session on the submission of applications via the Pakistan Biosafety Clearing-House (Pak-BCH) online portal. The Pak-BCH portal offers a centralized, user-friendly platform for Institutional Biosafety Committees (IBCs) to submit and process applications related to Genetically Modified (GM) work. It simplifies application procedures, reduces paperwork and ensures regulatory transparency. The session included live demonstrations and interactive, hands-on guidance to ensure participants gained a practical and in-depth understanding of the portal’s features. IBCs were encouraged to begin submitting their applications exclusively through the Pak-BCH portal to promote efficiency, transparency, and streamlined processing. Pak-BCH emphasized its continued commitment to enhancing biosafety governance and announced plans to expand these training sessions to more cities across Pakistan. The successful completion of this second session marks another step forward in the digital transformation of biosafety regulatory processes in the country.
