Pak-EPA monitoring team noticed the dense thick smoke cloud which polluted the Islamabad air

Pak-EPA monitoring team noticed the dense thick smoke cloud which polluted the Islamabad air on Wednesday 10-11-2021. Pak EPA team traced and reached at the smoke emitting point, huge quantity of solid waste containing packing material, plastic and polymers were burnt ruthlessly along with new blue area and in front of the CDA environment wing office F-9 Park.

Pak EPA Immediately informed the official of environment wing CDA that the responsible must be brought to book for it.  In middle of capital city, burning of garbage was a criminal act and the environment wing CDA must take an action against elements who burnt garbage and waste instead of dumping. Authority has failed to stop burning of heaps of garbage in the vacant spaces and along roads. Random and scattered dumping and burning of solid waste also deteriorate the Islamabad air quality. Due to less rainfall, transboundary pollution, and vehicular mobilization after removal of covid-19 restriction, Islamabad also experienced the PM2.5 exceeding from NEQS in the month of November. Pak EPA want to control and prevention of smog pollution, starting from the winter season.

Consequently, several pollutants released by trash burning can cause severe respiratory, and other long term health problems.
