Environmental Monitoring Team Inspects Ongoing and Proposed Projects in Zone V
10-09-2025: Under the direction of the Director General, Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency, the Environmental Monitoring Team (EMT) inspected ongoing and proposed construction projects in Zone V, Islamabad.
The inspection aimed to evaluate potential environmental impacts and review compliance with regulatory requirements. Observations revealed that while some projects have yet to commence construction, others are engaged in excavation and building activities using heavy machinery. In certain developments, preliminary infrastructure such as site offices, internal roads, and lighting has been completed.
Project proponents have duly submitted environmental compliance reports. EMT highlighted the need for strict observance of environmental regulations and the vitality of continuous monitoring to ensure sustainable and environmentally responsible development.
